Two Bards and a Songbird
A unique celebration of song, inspired by the two bards - William Shakespeare and Robert Burns, and performed by singer and singing leader Jessa Liversidge.
Sit back and enjoy Jessa's heartfelt performances, from traditional folk to pop and musical theatre, including her skilful use of a loop pedal to layer melodies and sounds. You'll get the opportunity contribute to a new piece of music, as Jessa uses audience ideas to improvise a new song around a Shakespeare/Burns quotation!

Two bards and a songbird workshop - 4.00-6.00
Book a combined ticket and take part in an uplifting singing workshop, with the opportunity to sing alongside Jessa as part of the evening performance. During the workshop, singers will work on vocal technique and create harmony using material inspired by Shakespeare and Burns, with all voices welcomed and encouraged. Songs could include Shakespeare inspired musical theatre, traditional Scottish folk tunes, and even new songs improvised on the day!
Jessa is an a positive and encouraging singing leader, experienced in working with singers of all ages and abilities. She runs several choirs (including the resident HAC Singers as well as Easingwold Community Singers, Singing For All, and York Military Wives Choir) as well as teaching singing privately and teaching music to young people, lifting the spirits of hundreds through song each week.
