Freelancing 101 is a workshop led by Ben Porter, founder of NODE: York’s freelance community.

Ben has been operating as a freelance media producer for 10+ years, creating work for clients including Adidas, Absolut and Sony. Alongside this he has built a thriving community of 4800+ creatives in York (York Creatives), hosting 100+ networking events for the creative industry.

This workshop will teach you how to position yourself as a freelancer, avoiding the common mistakes most people make.

You will leave knowing how to price your services, how to identify and reach out to potential clients, and how to track your progress in a way that gives you meaningful data.
