It’s New Year’s Eve, James has recently come out and is looking forward to his first queer night out in the world’s best queer karaoke bar (and by the best he means Hull). He is excited to be with his people, except he can’t help but feel he doesn’t fit in. Follow James as he takes his journey to understand what it means to be queer and find his place in this new world.
Devised in collaboration with queer people from across Yorkshire, Contradicktion is a loud, proud, queer one-man show that mixes music, theatre, and stand-up style interaction to confront the issue of toxic cultures that exist within the queer community. This exciting new play will have you like any night out on a rollercoaster of emotions and belting bangers with your mates.
