Yorkshire Kernel
Meet James. James’ Grandad is at deaths door, but he has one last mission: Find a tree. Many trees in fact, scattered around the country in memory of his WW2 comrades. Sounds simple, right?
Between being haunted by his plain-speaking Grandad, his Mother rekindling her romance with an old flame, and James’ pregnant partner Rosie who thinks he’s cheating on her, this barmy one-man show takes you on a journey of Yorkshire wit and grit and one man’s pursuit to leave a long-lasting legacy.
This is a poignant and hilarious new one-man show from the inimitable Danny Mellor, writer of the acclaimed Undermined (National Tour/ Red Ladder) and Suffer Fools Gladly (Badapple Theatre, 2021). Come and join us for the world premiere of this brand-new comedy!
Badapple Theatre are one of the UK’s most vibrant and prolific touring companies and their stories delight audiences of all ages, bringing high-quality theatre to communities large and small across the UK.
