Spring Awakening
This Tony Award winning 2006 rock musical adaptation follows a group of teenagers in a small German village in 1891. The oppressive structures upheld by their parents and teachers is at odds with their own awakening sexuality. CHMS deliver a gripping, modern retelling of Duncan Sheik and Steven Slater's text with reflections of the old-fashioned values through 21st Century lens. Spring Awakening explores themes of sex, puberty, coming of age and a yearning for a more progressive future.
